It is a pity that numerous flaws and bugs turned people away from such a wonderful game. However positioning in an actual battle is far more important due to the terrain and height actually being factors while Heroes have a very simple grid based Battlefield. The hero can learn all Nature Magic spells if they carry the Tome of Nature, up So which one would you choose. I have heard pretty negative stuff about the Steam HD version, so im not sure. GOG version is the whole package. Steam HD version looks pretty, but it's like a demo version. On GOG you also have Heroes Chronicles, several stand-alone campaigns. I'd say that with GOG version you just get several TIMES more content. Also, I'll post my thoughts on why I feel HoMM5 is even more fun than HoMM3 for me, but I want to see some discussion first.
